Australian Open Winner

The world’s biggest and best stars of tennis have arrived in sunny Melbourne for one of the most exciting events on the sporting calendar, ” The Australian Open“. The Australian Open commences Monday the 18th January until Sunday 31st January.  That’s two weeks of non-stop tennis action at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

The 2010 schedule is jam packed with the most exciting and glamorous players of recent times, they are ready to do battle for the ultimate prize, to be the next Australian Open Winner . Tennis greats such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova,  and Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt, all here in Melbourne , just to name a few.  So who  will be the next Australian Open Winner? Well, we will have to wait a few exciting weeks to answer that question!

Australian Open Fashions

Over the last decade, there is no doubt, that the Australian Open is not only known as a great sporting event, but it is also becoming known for its great Australian Open Fashions.  Players such as the Williams sisters have added some glitz and glamour to the world of Tennis with their long diamond earrings and revealing tennis outfits. So who will be the Australian Open Winner in the Fashion Stakes? You be the judge!

It’s not just the women taking the Australian Open Fashions to a new level, the men are also doing it in style.  For example Rafael Nadal’s nickabocker pants and sleeveless t shirt, or the military style suit Roger Federer opted for at Wimbledon last year to accept the winner’s trophy.

Tennis Players of the modern day  have now  created their own unique image, making their own  fashion statement, no matter how big or small.   What about Lleyton Hewitt wearing his hat around the wrong way, he started a new fashion trend for all the young tennis fans, or the gorgeous Anna Kournikova with her model looks and perfectly toned, athletic body.

I am sure the Australian Open Winner in the Fashion Stakes will not disappoint the adoring tennis fans. The fans who brave the Australian heat to cheer on there favorite tennis players, and soak up the electric atmosphere of the Australian Open.

BeautynHealth and fashion go hand in hand, if you choose the right formula, you are already a Melbourne Cup Winner.

I love the races, i love to have a flutter on the horses and i  love the Melbourne Cup Fashion to get all dressed up.  I have been attending some of the race meetings for quite a few years now, it is a great social outing with friends and a chance to rub shoulders with the beautiful people.  My favorite day on the racing calender is Oakes Day, ladies day, when all the ladies do their best to impress.

There is a lot of preparation that goes into a day at the races, even for us little folk.  It normally starts with watching what you eat for a few weeks, eating lots of fruit and vegies, drinking our 8 glasses of water per day, not only to have radiant looking skin but feel lighter on the day.  Then there is the hair, the nails, the tan and of course the outfit.  I am a big hat girl, how many times do we get to wear big and bold head attire…….not many…….so make the most of it. My observation so far of this years Melbourne Cup Fashion seems to be big hats and big shoes and the guys are really stepping up to the plate this year also opting for the hat as an accessory.

What would the Spring Carnival be without the celebrities,  i was only about a metre away from Megan Gale a few years ago,  it was the year Megan met Andy from Hamish & Andy, she looked stunning and was very friendly.  The celebrities lead the way when it comes to Melbourne Cup Fashion as they are the most photographed so they need to be looking their best as one wrong move can see them crucified by the fashion police. I have also got a huge soft spot for AFL players as i am a footy fanatic and get an extra buzz if they play for my team the Western Bulldogs.

I just watched an interview with Bart Cummings on A Current Affair a few hours ago, and thought he was gorgeous so i am backing  Viewed  as i would really like to see Bart get the bakers dozen.

No matter how you like to enjoy the race that stops a nation,  just do it,  and  if you are heading to the Spring Carnival this year, glam up, be bold and beautiful, soak up the atmosphere and of course pick a winner.
